Parker McCollum has been releasing music since 2013. “Highway” is the lead single from his debut EP, A Red Town View, which McCollum self released. In fact, he remained an independent artist until 2017, upon releasing albums Probably Wrong and Probably Wrong: Session One and Two. In 2020, McCollum signed with MCA Nashville and released Gold Chain Boy. His major label debut made his amazing breakthrough, peaking at number 6 on the Top Country Albums and entering the Billboard 200. The album spawned his first ever number 1 hit, “Pretty Heart,” which topped the Country Airplay chart and entered the Billboard Hot 100. Since releasing his career defining work, McCollum continued to make waves on the charts
