Let’s be frank: Simple Minds have decades of pure musical genius under the belt. Simple Minds stepped into the music scene in the late 1970s, achieving commercial success with ‘Love Song’ becoming a hit in 1981. It was, however, their subsequent album, ‘Sparkle in the Rain’, spawning the chart-topping singles ‘Speed Your Love to Me’ and ‘Up On The Catwalk’, together with the 1985 release of ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)' that catapulted them into international stardom. Since then, Simple Minds sold around 60 million albums, making them the most commercially successful Scottish band of the 1980s. Their accolade shelf is groaning heavily under the weight of the accolades the band has racked up during their four-decade-career, and include two ASCAP Pop Music Awards, two Q Awards, an Ivor Novello Award, and multiple award nominations. 

The truth is that more and more people are waking up to the decades-old brilliance of Simple Minds, and they are ready to polish and present all the gold in their back catalogue to packed venues everywhere. From the electrifying vocals and thunderous drumming to that well-known synth-lines and fantastic guitar licks, Simple Minds are shining up like a new penny, and are ready have their name in shining lights across the nation once more!
